The Miami Valley Fandom for Literacy® is based in Dayton, Ohio.
The MVFL is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the study of science, space science, science fiction and fantasy through the reading and writing of books. This is done by the raising of funds and collecting of books for schools, youth groups, libraries, and other non-profit institutions. Its goal is to encourage reading appreciation through the venue of science fiction literature, a natural correlation to the dreams and challenges of the future.

Our primary Fund Raiser is an annual event called MILLENNICON®

Annually we select a Miami Valley educator or librarian for the Hal Award. It is named after the science fiction author and former high school science teacher Hal Clement. Fill out the Application Form if you have someone you wish to nominate for the Hal Award.

You can donate to MVFL, all donations are tax deductible.
